With Pixie Geldof recently featuring in UK Vogue; USC saw that she had the qualities to promote the women’s range of clothing, especially as USC was redefining its product range to offer more catwalk, trend-led collections.
As a result USC approached Pixie and she re-launched the USC womenswear on 1st October 2009 presenting the new diverse range of fashionable items for this season’s collection.
Pixie said “it was cool to work for USC where the clothes look good and are accessible”.
David Douglas, Director of USC, said “We are delighted to be working with someone whom we feel shares our passion for the range”.
USC hopes that Pixie will assist with the new collections – Abandon and Miss Soviet.
The Abandon range has been recreated to the eighties incorporating a fresh, up-to-date funky look. The idea is ‘day-meets-night’ in strong statement pieces. Pixie said “I like that the Abandon range is not too girly and has a masculine energy that makes it quirky”.
The Miss Soviet collection has been designed for the young and stylish with more of a natural look: smart casual meets downtown cool. Check with winter florals in deep colours and black meet skinny jeans, leggings and cable knit. Pixie commented “I loved the use of colour in the ‘Miss Soviet’ range’ it’s really fun”.
USC current focus is mixing oversized checks, winter florals with graphic stripes, black and bright bold colours which equals laid-back and quirky look.
